When name brand merchandise is available that is a great deal that you have to jump on immediate because it won't be there for long. That makes me quite angry and I've noticed that it's happening more frequently in the past few years. I especially get furious when I have to pay to return merchandise that is so inferior that it never should have been on the website to begin with. Zulily always has a cost for returning merchandise and they always charge top dollar for shipping so that's hard to swallow sometimes. I've been shopping on Zulily for years and spend quite a bit of money on the website but if you're not familiar with how Zulily works you can be very frustrated. The prices are usually phenomenal for what is mostly good quality merchandise but it takes forever to arrive to your house. If you're not willing to wait 4-6 weeks for delivery of your merchandise than you can't shop on Zulily. Better off finding what you like and ordering from a company who can track your item more clearly. And when you check their ecommerce site, it shows still in transit to zulily.
Be aware, you might be like me, and receive emails saying "we received your item, it will ship soon", multiple times for the same item, and yet no tracking. I just hope to get my order at this point. We will see how this goes, and who knows it might go down even further. Their estimated dates are more accurate, and their customer service, while not always the best, at least can tell you where your purchase is in the process. These companies are light years ahead of zulily when it comes to notifying customers, to knowing where your item is, and when you will actually receive it. I have ordered from large companies like amazon and walmart, to small companies who sell organic makeup. And that is because the company is horrible with shipping. Not even the customer service knows where your item is most of the time. You literally will wait and have no idea when or where your item is until you get a tracking number. But, the transparency of where your item is in the shipping process is poor. I get, they get your order, your money, reach out to the company your item is being purchased from, wait for it to be received by their warehouse, then ship it to you. What do I mean by that? I ordered 3 items that are going to take anywhere from 3 to 5 weeks to receive. However, I have recently learned that while they may have many items to buy, they have a horrible shipping policy. With the many variety of items to choose and purchase. But they are pretty honorable and vendors I normally wouldnt order from directly, when I order thru Zulily, the products arrive. That is why I dont order as much from them as I used to. I own a lot of stuff from them and seeing the length of time Ive done business with them, I haveĪ great measure of this shift. The quality has really gone down over the years. My complaints however, are about the quality of some of their vendors. I guess, becayse I have been a long time customer, I get good treatment. I ask for and receive refunds to my original form of payment. I felt safe with them because tgey have treated me pretty damn well. I was shocked at Zulilys low rating and complaints because Ive been shopping there for 10 years at least. So i thot, let me look uo Zulily for context. I decided to look up Zulily as I looked up another company before I shopped there.
